Accountability: Taking Control
Beyond Circumstance

As more and more companies begin to take a hard look at themselves, the issue of values, trust and accountability among management and employees are now front and center ... resulting in this 1/2 day workshop.

From the Enron scandal to the dog-mauling case of Diane Whipple, there is an alarming trend that many of us find unsettling ... individuals disregarding ethics or the well being of others and not taking responsibility when caught in less-than-desirable circumstances. How can we make being accountable a positive, desirable, and rewarded attribute?

Accountability: Taking Control Beyond Circumstance is a half day workshop that specifically addresses these questions and more. The objective of the program is to explore the levels of accountability of individuals and the organization as a whole. The information gained from this session will guide participants in the discovery of their self-limiting behaviors, which may be affecting their accountability during adverse circumstances. The outcome of the session is a step-by-step process to ensure appropriate action to overcome obstacles resulting in improved team effectiveness, trust, and customer satisfaction.

Accountability: Taking Control Beyond Circumstances is based on the book, The Oz Principle®, written by Roger Connors, Tom Smith and Craig Hickman, which explores accountability in depth from a business perspective. The session will help you understand The Victim Cycle™ that we may all fall into at one time or another and The Accountability Model™ that companies must adopt to best guide everyone to do what is best for the company, its employees, suppliers and customers.

The most profound example of positive accountability where an individual and others took strong action in an adverse situation is epitomized by “Let’s Roll!” Todd Beamer and his fellow Flight 93 members will be forever remembered for the sacrifice they made in taking definitive action. While your employees won’t be in a position to give up their lives in order to take action to correct a situation, by reinforcing or redefining Accountability within your company, you will realize a higher level of commitment and a renewed respect for what the company represents on both a personal and professional level, internally and externally.

STRENGTH IN NUMBERS: THE ULTIMATE TEAMBUILDING TOOL

To truly leverage the collective strengths of each individual within your organization, you must take a closer look at 34 dominant themes that shape each employee in order to create the Ultimate Team for performance success.

Strength In Numbers is a new half day workshop being offered by Training Resources based on the exceptional work of Marcus Buckingham and Donald O. Clifton, authors of First Break All the Rules® and Now, Discover Your Strengths®. The workshop utilizes the StrengthsFinder Profile® assessment instrument to identify the dominant characteristics of individuals based on 34 themes. Based on experiential research, it has been found that most individuals will have three to five dominant themes, which directly relate to their innate talents and natural tendencies towards greater performance.

Through the information gained from the StrengthsFinder Profile®, the workshop will help you further define and leverage the top three themes of each individual on your team to maximize performance and overall team effectiveness. The workshop includes the book, Now, Discover Your Strengths, interactive activities, role playing, and action planning. This workshop is an excellent complement to the Big Five/WorkPlace Big 5, and can also be highly effective as a workshop on its own.

Some of the themes include being an activator, competitor, empathizer, maximizer, achiever, arranger, adapter, intellect, learner, developer, plus 24 more! As your team begins to realize what the dominant themes are for each individual, you will learn how to capitalize on strengths, effectively address desired but missing talents, and identify themes and talents in others. The opportunity to take your team to an even higher level of awareness and performance is profound.
